AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR DERMAL FILLERS?

 

Should you wish to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds or want to increase lip volume or improve your lip contour,  dermal fillers could be a procedure to treat such conditions. It may also be used for facial lipo-atrophy, debilitating scars or morphological asymmetry.

IS A DERMAL FILLER TREATMENT PAINFUL?

 

All dermal fillers treatments at Ola Bella Medical Aesthetics and Beauty Cliniques are performed by a Doctor. The treatment is largely painless. This is subject to the treated area as well as the patient’s sensitivity. An anesthetic cream or block can be applied prior to the procedure for sensitive patients which will reduce any sensitivity caused by the injections which are done with very fine needles. Dermal filler is injected into the skin by using a thin wall needle, specially designed for optimal patient comfort.

HOW LONG DOES A TYPICAL TREATMENT TAKE?

 

When you receive a dermal filler treatment at Ola Bella Medical Aesthetics and Beauty Clinique, we will begin by having your skin and/or treatment area thoroughly examined by a Doctor. Following the application of an anesthetic (if requested), dermal filler will be injected directly into your facial areas where underlying problems occur by using a thin wall needle, specially designed for optimal patient comfort. Each session of your treatment will take 20 - 60  minutes.

WHAT RESULTS WILL I SEE? *

 

Results will be visible immediately following treatment, lasting several months, depending on the specific product. The results of an aesthetic treatment with Fillers are long lasting, but not permanent as

hyaluronic acid is completely broken down over several months with no trace of the filler remaining. The manufacturers state that the results can last for several months, up to a year, depending on the  product used, the treated area, and the individual’s metabolization of the implanted HA. Treatment with dermal fillers is expected to last between 8 to 12 months.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS AND WILL THERE BE ANY DOWNTIME?

 

Post-treatment discomfort such as temporary tenderness, redness, swelling or bruising on the injected area may be possible. These symptoms are usually mild to moderate and disappear on their own in less than 7 days. Patients are able to return to their daily activities as normal directly after this procedure.

 

 

WHO SHOULD NOT USE DERMAL FILLERS?

 

There are some people that are not suitable for treatment.

If you fit any of the following criteria, unfortunately you are not a suitable candidate:

 

– Are under 18 years old.
– Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
– Have a history of auto-immune disease, or are currently receiving immune therapy.
– Have a tendency to develop hypertrophic scars.
– Are hypersensitive to hyaluronic acid.
– The area that you wish to have treated is currently injured, inflamed or infected.
